X3: The Last Dissapointment

I warn you now:

HERE THERE BE SPOILERS!!

Still reading? Then I'll assume you've seen X3 already. Don't come crying to me if this post ruins the movie for you (as though I could take credit for that).

Let's List Again

Beast: I was pleasantly surprised by Kelsey Grammer's performance, and the few CGI parts that featured Beast were well done and blended well with the live action portrayal. All in all about the only character that was done right through the entire movie.

Angel: For what they did with him it was done well enough, I suppose. It was really only a glorified cameo, but at least they didn't totally trash the character. That this is a compliment for how they handeled him should speak volumes for the rest of the list.

Shadowcat: Close. I don't think it was necessary to make her quite as high profile as they did, but that's excusable. Using her power on Juggernaut? Kinda retarded. Using it to jump off a building? What the hell stopped her in the middle of the ground? And why didn't it kill her? Only an esoteric flaw, I suppose, but attention to detail could have improved the whole movie by a lot.

Dr. Moira MacTaggart: This really was just a cameo. Not much to screw up in her 1.5 lines of dialog.

Colossus: What do you know, I was right. Bad execution, and the steel effects even looked worse in this one (maybe because it was on screen for more time).

Juggernaut: Wow. Why in the fuck would any kind of government agency put someone in a high-tech, solitary confinment cell WITH A DAMN HELMET ON?!? I kept expecting him to talk about his "Desert Eagle .50."

Callisto and Leech: Well, they totally ignore the Morlocks. Callisto is a pretty girl with tattoos. Please. Leech is just a bald white kid. Absolutely terrible. Everything that made the characters who they are in the comics is completely left out of the movie. Good job, assclowns.

Multiple Man: I guess I do need to say something. It was bad.

Siryn: Not even a scream in this one. I guess it was for the best.

Psylocke: They gave Spike speaking lines over Psylocke? I suppose I should be thankful that she was only on camera a couple of times, as it gave them precious little time to fuck it. They still managed to, but not as bad as it could have been.

Omega Red: I'm guessing here. There was only one character that I think could have been the "Omega Mutie" listed in the actual credits. And really, it's just Marrow turned into a male. This is a huge load.

Jubilee: I must've missed this cameo. I'm kinda glad.

This is the first movie in a long time that I've been angry at as I left. On top of all the new characters that they screwed up, most of the returning characters were fucked up in some way. In closing, skip this one until someone you know rents it.
