Catching Up
Alright, so I've let this go for a while. Sorry.
First up: Amanda and I hung out with Crystal on Friday. To no one's great surprise, she did not have Evan's copy of the Guide. Apparently it's packed somewhere, but she will find it by the next time we see her, which is supposed to be in a couple of weeks. On a more dismal note, she has gotten more annoying, if that is possible. Direct quote: "I'm gonna be a surgeon, for, you know, brains and stuff." This makes me feel all warm and fuzzy about the future of healthcare. Oh well.
Finally saw Episode III. Such an improvement over the last two. Vastly better. The book really did enhance the movie (and I wish some of the dialogue from the book was in the movie, but oh well). Amanda and I have been discussing the best order to let our children watch the movies. We both agree that I, II, III, IV, V, VI is the best way to do it. This does leave the problem of Episode III, however: what is the appropriate age for this movie? This is the only sticking point of the whole thing.
Julian and Jess are having more issues, again to no one's great surprise. Jess wants to move to Grants, which puts Julian in a bad situation (okay, thinking with his dick put him in a bad situation, but I think we know that by now). So if all of this happens, Julian will be moving to Albuquerque and continuing to work at Altell. Amanda has offered to help him find an apartment there at some Nebulous point in the future. The whole situation smacks of another ploy by Jess to manipulate Julian's dating life to me, and I'm not entirely convinced that she and Barry will move. But she has been known to do crazier shit.
And Evan, lay off the fake crap. Get the real stuff. If you're having problems, I might have a connection or two to help you out. Oh yeah, and find Perdido Street Staion. It is a fucked up book. And tell Andy to bring his worthless ass over here.
That is all (for now).
